What this notice covers
This notice covers the Ruddiment marketing website and enquiries sent to us. It does not describe the processing of connected website data by the Ruddiment application or Runtime. Private-beta participation and permission to connect a website are subject to separate information and terms. Browsing this website does not create an application account or a paid subscription.
Information we receive
When you browse, our hosting provider processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. When you email us, we receive the information you and your email service include in the message.
- Website requests: IP address, requested page, date and time, browser and device information, referring page where provided, response status and security or error information.
- Enquiries: your name, email address, organisation or website if supplied, subject, message, attachments, correspondence and email delivery information.
- Enquiry handling: ticket references, classification, assignment, status, related contact information and operational history in our support system.
The enquiry journey
The Contact page opens your email application to send a message to our support address. It does not submit a website contact form in the current public configuration. Messages are received through Google Workspace. A copy is routed through Twilio SendGrid to BuzzBoost Ops, our internal enquiry and support system. BuzzBoost Ops organises correspondence into records for handling and follow-up. Please do not send passwords, access tokens or unnecessary confidential information.
Why we use information
We use website request information to deliver pages, maintain availability, diagnose errors and prevent abuse. We use enquiry information to answer questions, discuss the product or potential private-beta participation, manage correspondence and maintain relevant business records.
- Our legitimate interests are operating a secure website, responding to business enquiries and maintaining an accountable record of those conversations. These interests must be balanced against your rights.
- Where you ask us to take steps before entering a contract with you, processing necessary for those steps may be based on that request.
- We may also need to process or retain information to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Providers and access
The website is hosted by Vercel. Google Workspace handles support email, and Twilio SendGrid passes the routed copy to BuzzBoost Ops. BuzzBoost Ops is hosted on Vercel and uses Supabase for data and private attachment storage. These providers process information relevant to their part of that journey. Authorised people handling enquiries and operating the systems can access relevant records. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to deal with a legal claim.
International processing
These services use international infrastructure and support arrangements, so information may be processed outside the United Kingdom. A selected hosting region does not mean that every log, backup or support operation stays in that region. Vercel’s published Data Processing Addendum includes standard contractual clauses and a UK transfer addendum. Google, Twilio and Supabase also publish data-processing and international-transfer terms. You can contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your information.

How long information is kept
Enquiry messages can remain in the email and support systems after a conversation ends. Our current Google Workspace setting does not automatically delete email and chat messages. Closing a support record does not itself delete the message or its attachments. Some attachment actions restrict access without immediately removing the underlying file. The relevant retention considerations are whether an enquiry remains open, whether it has become an ongoing support or business relationship, the need to investigate security issues, and any applicable legal obligation or hold. Where a separate recovery copy exists, removing a live record does not necessarily remove that copy at the same time. Retention and any applicable holds must be considered separately for each system. Vercel’s current hosting plan provides a 30-day runtime-log window; that is not a deletion deadline for all provider security records or correspondence. You can ask about the retention of your particular information or request erasure, subject to the applicable legal conditions.
Cookies and similar technologies
The marketing application does not include analytics or advertising tags in its current configuration. Hosting and abuse-prevention processing is separate from optional analytics. The Cookie Policy explains browser storage and the hosting provider’s security challenges.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you have rights to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request erasure, restrict processing, object to processing and receive information in a portable form. You have a right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and an absolute right to object to direct marketing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable data-protection law; they are not a promise that every record can be deleted immediately.
Privacy requests and complaints
Contact us using the address below to exercise a right or raise a privacy concern. Sol is the initial person responsible for Ruddiment privacy requests. Include enough information to identify the enquiry or record concerned, but do not send passwords or identity documents unless they are needed and a suitable method has been agreed. Applicable law sets response times and allows extensions or exceptions in defined circumstances. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data-protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. You do not have to contact us before complaining to the ICO.
